Lantomo Breaks Free

The Barcelona-Based Illustrator’s Portraits Are Full of Life
Posted by Gestalten—07/2017

How can we express our truest selves? For some, it takes the form of words and poetry; for others, arts and songs. Still, many simply wear their true colors on their face, and illustrator Lantomo records the exact moment where our daily facades break to reveal how we really feel. The pictures are detailed and mainly in black and white with occasional red highlights, but—more than anything—they are filled with life and energy as her sitters bear the weight of their feelings of joy, disappointment, ecstacy, and agony.

See more of her work below, or check our selection of Gestalten books about illustration to see how the visual field is quickly developing.
