An Electric Bike with a Twist
Posted by Gestalten—08/2017

In China, motorcycles are banned in most of the biggest cities to tackle pollution. You have to pay around 60,000 USD to get a motorcycle on the streets, while an electric bike can hit the road for 7.50 USD, which inspired the gang of expats at Shanghai Customs to build the eCUB. For their custom build electric bike, they sanded and smoothed the frame of a honda cub after repositioning the foot pegs to accommodate two riders. There’s a mounted controller, too, with which acceleration release times are also programmable. The result is a high-powered compact and stylish e-bike dressed in glossy back.
