Brewing Matcha with Paper & Tea

Introducing the Matcha Starter Kit
Posted by Gestalten—12/2015

To prepare a serving of matcha, the leaves of a shade-grown green leaf plant have their steams and veins removed and are then blended into a fine powder. The powder is then pushed through a tight sieve using a wooden spatula and whisked into carefully measured servings of hot water. We visited the tea specialists at Paper & Tea to learn more about the ceremonious traditions of brewing matcha and how to use their Matcha Starter Kit.

In addition to offering the five-piece set in Gestalten Pavilion, we are holding a raffle to give away a P&T Matcha Starter Kit. To enter, simply send your name to before 6 p.m. on Friday, December 11.
