What’s New with Alana Dee Haynes?

Catching Up with the Illustrator
Posted by Gestalten—07/2017

Illustrator Alana Dee Haynes has been busy since we last spoke to her in 2015. With thick but delicate lines, her pieces lay lacy inks over fashionable photographs, weaving from foreground to background like an intricate wallpaper in some images and beautiful sleeves of tattoos in others. The accoutrements are wirey, wistful, and whimsical: They gracefully elevate the images to a new emotional plane. Want to see more? A selection of Haynes’ illustrations will be on display at Apostrophe NYC from August 5. Or, revisit the most recent volume of Illusive, which includes a handful of her pieces as well.
