Georgian Townhouse by IF_DO

Refurbishing a Historic Home
Posted by Gestalten—06/2017

If walls could talk, this residence in Suffolk, England, would surely have a handful of stories to tell. Historically significant, the heritage townhouse was designated as a cultural site and received a loving facelift from the architects at IF_DO in 2016. The team reconfigured the home’s axis to emphasize the ample but intimate garden. An 8-meter-long extension was built, projecting from the building and into the yard with a wide window to create a seamless transition between inside and out.
